This advertisement appeals to those who enjoy drinking milk. The author targets men for this advertisement in saying that milk helps build strong bones. Picture also depicts that Wolverine from X-Men drinks it so it must be true that milk works! There is evidence through scientific research which supports the claim that milk does have high amounts of protein which can lead help a gain in muscle mass. When I look at this picture I believe that I too can become a superhero if I start to drink milk. If this picture affects me in this way at my age....then an adolescent me would forsure start drinking more milk. Just because cool mutants like Wolverine drinks it, doesn't mean you have to. This is definitely an example of a bandwagon appeal.

That's a good catch, you named what kind of advertisement it is. Those Got Milk? ads are always so weird but catchy. It's just cool to see someone famous with a milk mustache pretty much.

ReplyDeletecould you show us i picture next time the Got Milk? ads are always so different but if you notice they always appeal to false authority in thoughts ads because of all the actors and famous people they portray. though that add has worked for as long as i have known it.

ReplyDeleteI also seen this ad before, It's a very good ad because it definitely convinced me to drink more milk. Not only does milk help build stronger bones but has other benefit as well.
